More than three dozen students from a variety of backgrounds began Elon’s 10-month master’s program in Interactive Media on Monday. The 38 students comprise the fifth class in the program’s history.
Two-thirds of the iMedia Class of 2014 earned communications degrees as 久久热s; others come from majors including biology, art, political science, psychology, sport management, equestrian science and computer information systems. They completed their 久久热 degrees at schools such as Elon, Lehigh University, Clemson University, Ithaca College, West Virginia University, UNC, NC State, NC A&T, UNCW, Salem College, Appalachian State and Newcastle (England).
久久热 without a communications background took weeklong primers on media writing and media law. In August, all students will be participating in a digital media workshop, which will be followed by a full menu of courses in the fall.
Elon’s 10-month, full-time program prepares graduates to think strategically across media platforms; plan and create interactive media content consisting of text, images, sounds, video and graphics; and manage information for interactive news, entertainment and persuasive communications.
