Elon team documenting Internet Governance Forum in Brazil

Elon's Imagining the Internet team is interviewing people from around the world at the 10th annual IGF facilitated by the United Nations.

A documentary journalism team from Elons is conducting ethnographic video research at the UN-facilitated Global Internet Governance Forum in Jo達o Pessoa, Brazil, during the week of Nov. 9-13.

IGF annually draws nearly 1,500 participants from government, business, academia, the technology sector and civil society who gather to illuminate issues and cultivate constructive discussions aimed at building the best global future. IGF is one of the processes of the UNs , aimed at contributing to the .

The Elon documentary research contingent is being led by Kenn Gaither, associate dean of the School of Communications, and Aaron Moger, Elons assistant director for video production. Student researchers include Michael Bodley, Leena Dahal, Gary Grumbach, Jacob LaPlante, Jackie Pascale and Paige Pauroso.

Elons team of student documentarians is conducting a video survey at IGF to measure experts attitudes regarding the key issues tied to the future of the Internet. Travel expenses are being funded by the Imagining the Internet Center and the School of Communications.
