Tantara Records is releasing a new album of music for flute and orchestra that includes a 20-minute flute concerto composed by associate professor Todd Coleman, coordinator of the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Music Technology Program.

As part of an exiting new online musical collaboration, associate professor Todd Coleman's "Wind Dance," a musical composition for a 12-part flute choir, has been selected by Troubadour Music to be collaboratively recorded over the Internet by flute players throughout the world, dubbed the "New World Flutet."

On July 17, 2012, David Powell presented a paper co-authored with Joel Hollingsworth titled "Google and IBM Clouds Make Enterprise Computing Available to all Undergraduate CS Majors" at The 2012 International Conference on Frontiers in Education: Computer Science and Computer Engineering.

Polly Cornelius, soprano, and Victoria Fischer Faw, piano, were featured on June 25 on Ontario Canada's radio station, FM 98.5, which serves the Waterloo Region and surrounding area.

Communications assistant professor Lucinda Austin authored the article "Desensitization Effect" for the "Encyclopedia of Gender in Media."

Co-authored with colleagues from the Dublin Institute of Technology, the two Elon faculty members make case for more "experiential education."
