The North Carolina Library Association has selected Belk Library's Jennifer Smith to participate in its biennial conference.

Elon Law professors Scott Gaylord and Andy Haile co-authored the article, "Constitutional Threats in the E-Commerce Jungle: First Amendment and Dormant Commerce Clause Limits on Amazon Laws and Use Tax Reporting Statutes." The article was published in the September 2011 edition of the North Carolina Law Review.

Elon Law Executive Coach in Residence Bonnie McAlister presented a Continuing Legal Education program at the 33rd Annual Conference of North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys on Sept. 16.

Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship; Alexa Carlin, an entrepreneurship and finance double major; and Laura Zavelson, adjunct lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, presented Oct. 10 at the University Economic Development Association Conference in Indianapolis.

Pamela Winfield compiled, edited, and wrote the Contributing Editor's Introduction to a specially-themed issue of Cross Currents Journal on “Religion in Asia Today”, vol. 61 no. 3 (Sept. 2011) pp. 286-421.

Assistant professor Pamela Winfield has published an article titled "Mandala As Metropolis" in Esoteric Buddhism and the Tantras in East Asia.

David Neville, assistant professor of German and director of language-learning technologies, has published the article "The Future of Language Education: Facilitating Collaboration Through Technology” in the most recent issue of The Language Educator.

Thomas Erdmann, professor of music, recently published a review of pianist Louise Denson's CD, "The Flame Tree."
