National Day of Racial Healing is on January 16 and Elon will have an event to honor the day.

Two major dates for the fall 2024 semester have been confirmed. Elon Family Weekend will kick off on Friday, Sept. 27, with many campus activities planned throughout the weekend. Homecoming Reunion Weekend will take place Nov. 1-2.

This annual benefit cabaret raises funding for the national organization Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, which helps people across the country and across the street receive lifesaving medications, health care, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance.

Among those visiting Elon this spring as part of the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Speaker Series are the authors of "We are Charleston," Habitat for Humanity International CEO Jonathan Reckford and Legendary Hall of Fame baseball manager Tony La Russa.

The Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education (CREDE) and the Division of Inclusive Excellence will host a dinner dialogue to explore how to create a more equitable world on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 5 p.m.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ will hold the first Women of Elon Weekend from March 14-15, 2024. The conference focuses on personal and professional development and will feature keynote speaker Jackie Joyner-Kersee, named the Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century by Sports Illustrated magazine.

Elon has service opportunities and events to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

The authors of the book, which recounts the horrific shooting at Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., and its aftermath, will lead a discussion in McCrary Theatre.
