Elon Law Professor Henry Gabriel recently published scholarship and presented internationally on topics that address the regional harmonization of trade law, agricultural development and the future of international trade law.

Elon Law Professor Enrique Armijo was named to the Board of Academic Advisors for The Free State Foundation on September 24.

An expert in organizational psychology and leadership development with more than 20 years of applied experience in corporate settings, ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Professor Chris Leupold will lead executive coaching and Fellows initiatives for the nationally recognized leadership program at Elon Law.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law Dean Luke Bierman today announced Professor of Law Faith Rivers James as Elon Law’s first associate dean for experiential learning and leadership. In this role, Rivers James will provide guidance and coordination for the law school’s experiential learning initiatives, including externships, residencies, clinics and the school’s nationally recognized leadership program.

Elon Law Professor Henry Gabriel represented the State of North Carolina at the annual meeting of the Uniform Law Commission. He was also a U.S. Delegate to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, Working Group on Electronic Commerce. In addition, he was reappointed by the U.S. State Department to another term as a member of the State Department Advisory Committee for Private International Law.

Christopher Anglin L’11, Mital Patel L’09 and Elon Law Professor Hannah Vaughan, director of the law school’s Elder Law Clinic, were among 16 attorneys recognized in June for completion of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Leadership Academy.

In a July 22 Slate column, Elon Law Professor David S. Levine calls for deeper consideration of a new online "right to be forgotten" articulated by a European Union court in May.

Elon Law Professor Enrique Armijo has accepted an invitation to become an Affiliated Fellow with the Information Society Project at Yale Law School.

Elon Law Professor Scott Gaylord was retained by the North Carolina House and Senate, through the legislature’s Speaker and President Pro Tem, to represent the State in its efforts to get the U.S. Supreme Court to review a decision of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals that prohibits North Carolina from issuing “Choose Life” specialty license plates.
