The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Board of Trustees met on Feb. 20 and granted tenure and approved promotions for several faculty members.

The Department of Physical Therapy Education once again made its presence felt at the prestigious American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in February 2025 in Houston with 12 presentations.

The professor of physical therapy education was awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award, Elon’s top faculty research award, in spring 2024.

Associate Professor Cathy Quay, chair of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s Department of Nursing, has been appointed to a committee that evaluates nursing program applications to a worldwide accreditation body.

Dr. Veronica Marciano will serve as program director and Dr. Timothy Lietz as medical director for a new physician assistant studies graduate program planned for launch in 2027 at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ’s national campus in North Carolina’s largest city.

Sandra A. Darfour-Oduro, co-authored an article titled "Factors influencing healthcare workers’ perceived compliance with infection prevention and control standards, North Bank East region, The Gambia, a cross-sectional study."

The grant from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust will support the university’s new HealthEU Center and create scholarships in the Nursing Fellows program to address critical healthcare workforce needs.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ welcomed 86 new PA and DPT graduate students to campus on Jan. 6, 2025.

A group of nursing students traveled to Cuba in January for a first-of-its-kind ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Winter Term study abroad program.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ in the Winter Term Contemporary Health class visit Cone Health, Nutrition and Diabetes Lifestyle Center to learn about diabetes.
