¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ is one of 25 colleges and universities highlighted in the 2010 edition of the Newsweek-Kaplan college guide. This is Elon's second appearance in the guide; in 2006 Newsweek-Kaplan named Elon the nation's "hottest college" for engaged learning.

Professor emeritus David Noer is scheduled to appear on Fox Business Network on Friday, Sept. 4, at 10:20 a.m. to discuss his book Healing the Wounds: Overcoming the Trauma of Layoffs and Revitalizing Downsized Corporations.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law's inaugural commencement exercises were featured May 25 on North Carolina public radio station WUNC as the latest example of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ's expansion and rise to national prominence.

The (Greensboro, N.C.) News & Record reported Aug. 26 on work by associate professor Mat Gendle and his ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ researchers into the effects, or lack thereof, of the popular Red Bull energy drink.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ continues its position of national prominence in the 2010 “America’s Best Colleges” rankings released Aug. 20 by US News & World Report. Again this year, Elon is named by the magazine as the top “up-and-coming” university in the nation on a list of 77 schools that are “leading the pack in improvements and innovative changes.” And in a new US News ranking, Elon is ranked among the nation’s top schools for its strong faculty commitment to ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ.

Tom Nelson, an associate professor of communications, was interviewed by Kansas Public Radio this week for his documentary "Prisoners of Plenty," a film that recounts the lives of German POWs imprisoned in Kansas during World War II.

Bob Anderson, associate professor of political science, was a member of News14 Carolina’s panel of experts during the station’s broadcast coverage of the visit by President Barack Obama to North Carolina on July 29.

For the seventh year in a row, Elon is ranked among the nation's top colleges and universities by The Princeton Review. The 2010 college guide, released July 28, ranks schools based on a survey of 122,000 students from across the nation.
