As Queens employees transition to Elon employment, there are several important steps to complete and resources to become familiar with during the onboarding process. This page serves as a central hub for essential information related to account access, technology resources, benefits enrollment, payroll, time entry and other items that will help support a smooth transition to Elon.

Please review the information below carefully and complete any required actions by the indicated deadlines. Additional resources and guidance will continue to be added as information becomes available.

OnTrack: Self-Service Employee Portal

Employees transitioning to Elon as part of phase one claimed their Elon accounts in early June to access Elon Benefits Hub. These credentials unlock employee essentials like email, account access and payroll and vacation items through .

Direct Deposit and Personal Information Review

Verify your direct deposit banking information starting on July 1, 2026.

  • When you log into , select the Employee tile.
  • Then select the Banking Information tile. A list of active accounts appears.
  • Click the arrow to the right of the account name. This takes you to the bank account usage screen. Notice that the payroll deposit is toggled to activate for the active account.
  • To view bank account details, click on the View Bank Account Details button.
    • On the next screen view the routing number, the last four digits of the account number and the account type.
    • To exit this view, select cancel.
  • Change the deposit details on the screen to place the entire balance in an account or to enter a specific dollar amount.
  • To add a new account, select Back under the Banking Information heading.
  • Then click on the “+ Add an Account” button on the Active Accounts screen.
  • Elon Payroll will verify this update and may contact you.

User profile

  • Click on your username and select User Profile from the dropdown or select the person icon on the top (on mobile) or on the gray navigation (desktop).
    • Edit personal pronouns under “Edit Personal Identity.
    • Edit home address as necessary. Do not add a new home address.
      • The warning on the screen says, “Do not add a new address. Instead, edit your existing home address. Addresses can only be edited, not removed.
    • Add, edit or remove personal email addresses.
    • Add, edit or remove phone numbers.

Emergency Information

Click on your username and select Emergency Information from the dropdown. Add, remove and edit contacts on this window. Then select Confirm.


Time and Leave Request Entry

Please note there will be differences in the first-time entry and payroll process compared to later payroll cycles moving forward.

Hourly Employees (paid on bi-weekly schedule)

  • Do not enter June 30 time in OnTrack. June 30 should be reported through Queens systems.
  • Beginning July 1, enter your time in .
  • Record 8 hours per day, not 7.5 hours.
  • Record the July 3 holiday. Leave balances will not be deducted for university-sponsored holidays and the paycheck will reflect 8 hours worked.

Until sick leave balances are finalized at Queens and sent to Elon, employees should enter sick time off as vacation hours. The supervisor will then need to notify Payroll, and Elons payroll department will manually adjust the hours once the leave balances are uploaded. Once Payroll is notified adjustments will be made before the next biweekly payroll run. Employees intending to take sick leave during this period will not be charged for other leave types.

Salaried Employees

Until sick leave balances are finalized at Queens and sent to Elon, employees should enter sick time off as vacation hours. Payroll Information

As part of the transition to Elon employment, some employees will experience changes to payroll schedules, time entry processes and leave reporting procedures. Review the information below to understand what to expect and access resources that will help you navigate payroll-related processes at Elon.

  • Look at earning statements up to two days prior to pay day.
    • Log into .
    • Click on Employee tile.
    • Click on Earning Statements tile.
    • Click a pay date to view.
  • Visit the biweekly payroll calendar.

Hourly Employees

  • Hourly employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule and will receive 26 paychecks over the course of a calendar year. Please note that your salary will be distributed to two extra paychecks when compared to the bimonthly Queens pay schedule.
  • Due to the payroll calendar at Elon, the first paycheck from 消消犯 will be issued on July 10, 2026. This check will not be representative of regular earnings as the check will only cover July 1-July 3, 2026 with taxes and benefit reductions withdrawn.
  • Regular pay periods for non-exempt employees are every two weeks.

Salaried Employees

  • Salaried employees will continue a monthly pay schedule.
  • Please note and plan accordingly that Elon distributes paychecks the last workday of each month to its salaried employees. In July that will occur on July 31, a change from the 25th that you are accustomed to.
  • Your June paycheck will be distributed by Queens on June 25 with no changes.

Time Entry & Leave Reporting

  • Salaried employees only submit leave hours used and are not responsible for entering hours.
  • Hourly employees will need to learn time entry using the links above or by calling Elon Payroll at (336) 278-5260 should they have any questions.
